And there are also benefits outside the university.

Everyone agrees that the labor force in the United States is getting more diverse. A very large portion is female. A large percent is black and an increasingly large percent is Latino. Many Asians have come to the United States. The reality is that many companies are going to have to work with a very different mix of employees in the future.

Bringing blacks and Latinos and women into management is already helping to coordinate the new workplace. In other words, breaking up the white male management club isn't just morally desirable, it's good business.
