My point is that I don't think you can put a foundation under the kind of property rights you value so much.

I think that the rules of property that exist at any given time are created by government and can be modified by government. For that reason, I have no problem with our government restricting property rights by outlawing discrimination on the basis of race, color, and sex.

The government has done that because of the evil that racial discrimination has caused; and I think it was morally right to do so.
