You're assuming that strong affirmative action forces employers to hire people who are utterly incompetent. But how often does that happen?

In the first place, a lot of jobs can be done by any normal person. Second, even more jobs can be done if the employer seriously tries to train the employee. If companies are smart, they will hire the best black applicants to meet affirmative action goals and then, when necessary, do extensive training.

The whites who are not hired will still be available to other employers, and the blacks who need it will be trained. The overall result will be a higher quality labor force that will help us compete around the world.
