There is no way to restrict Devin without opening up a box containing lots of other cases that are similar in various ways. Here are just a few that will arise:

• A group of Catholic students is upset by a history professor's treatment of the Protestant Reformation. They want him to stop criticizing the Catholic Church.
• A group of Iranian students is upset that Salman Rushdie's work The Satanic Verses is used in a literature class. They believe that it portrays Moslems unfairly and is deeply offensive.
• A group of Vietnam vets is upset by one professor's view of America's role in the Vietnamese war. They think her discussion of atrocities committed by American troops is biased. Some are finding it difficult to function in the class because of the memories of their own painful experiences in the war. One of the students was held prisoner and tortured by the North Vietnamese.
• A group of Palestinian students objects to the lectures of a Jewish professor in the Political Science department. They consider his views on the Middle East to be biased and poorly documented. They want his tenure revoked.
• A group of Jewish students objects to some of the accusations made by a Black Muslim professor discussing the Atlantic slave trade. They claim that his work does not meet professional academic standards.

If we treat these cases in the way you want Devin's case treated, academic freedom will no longer exist. That's the best reason in the world to leave Devin's tenure alone.
