I think what you are saying is factually mistaken. The bulk of the academic community disagrees with Devin. In that light, there is no reason to believe that what he says does any great harm. It's entirely possible that the anti-racist position is made stronger because so many people condemn Devin.

As far as reparations are concerned, I agree with you that a good case can be made for black reparations. But you are assuming that restricting people like Devin is required in order to make up for the past. I think that's a mistake. People like Devin are marginal. What's really important is better jobs, better education, and better political organization. All of that needs to be done and none of it requires restricting what Devin says in his classroom.
