If we view this as a free speech issue, anyone in favor of the anti-harassment policy is fighting an uphill battle. They are cast as the bad guys. But why think of this as a free speech issue at all?

• Why not think of this as a case of harassment?
• Why not think of this as a case of assault?
• Why not think of this as an equality issue concerning equal access to education or some other kind of social equality?

I think you see my point. Your definition of the situation partially determines the outcome of our discussion. And that's also true for the broader political discussion of this issue throughout the country.
