Speaker Let me be clear about one thing.

I disagree with Dee about initial acquisition. For example, I don't see how certain actions of an individual (planting, fencing, harvesting, and so on) can create really strong property rights -- exclusive, permanent, transferable rights. But I do not deny that doing these things may create a more limited moral claim to those resources. In other words, I am not saying that the fact that person A worked on a certain field of land and grew corn gives A no moral claim whatever to that corn.
