I agree with Dee and Ann that the nature of property is one of the crucial questions in political philosophy.

I'm basically a Social Democrat, but supporting social democracy requires that we understand property in a certain way. If classic liberals and modern libertarians are correct about the nature of property, then social democracy is little more than organized theft.

The question is basic. Let's talk about it.
