Let me add something else.

It seems to me that the rules of justice change, at least temporarily, when there has been a long series of injustices committed.

Every theory of justice must tell us what to do if the rules have not been followed.

It's like a basketball game. If someone commits a foul, the normal rules of play are suspended and the person who was fouled gets to take a free shot. Unlike the normal situation, no one can interfere with his free shot.

So there are normal circumstances and abnormal circumstances. Among the abnormal circumstances are scarcity, catastrophe, and a history of injustice.
