It may or may not be true that liberty is only of value as a
necessary condition for an autonomous life. Even if it is, it doesn't follow that you have a right to all the conditions that make an autonomous life likely. Perhaps you have to do some of the work yourself? What a concept! And perhaps many people will not do so.
People are entitled to the non-interference rights that we both agree are a necessary condition for an autonomous life. But above and beyond those non-interference rights, it is up to the individual to find or create the conditions that facilitate autonomous living.
Just as I have said before, you do not have the right to my services in order to make your life better. You have every right to develop as an autonomous person,
and I hope you do so. But you don't have a right to my goods and services as a means to
your end. Look, you have a right to freely choose your religion, but not a right to be provided with a church by others.
You have a right to develop your intellect, but not a right to be
provided with my instruction (assuming that I am an excellent
teacher). You have a right to try to develop a strong, healthy body,
but not to my services as a physician.
