Everything
you said is true, but it is only half of the truth. You have not
mentioned the schools built by the colonial powers, the hospitals
built, and the harmful customs (such as requiring women to kill
themselves when their husbands die) that were banned.
I am not trying to justify the harm done by the colonial powers.
I'm only saying that they both harmed and benefited the people in
colonized areas.
My conclusion is that no general rule of tolerance or
non-interference is justified. We must look at individual cases.
