In
line with what I said before, I
think that science often connects with questions three and four.
Take question three, for example. In some cases
science can allow us to settle an ethical dispute - perhaps by helping
us to predict the empirical consequences of an action or a class of
actions.
Or take question number four. In some cases, a
proposed ethical principle or judgment may conflict with the best
scientific knowledge. In that case, science would limit the number of
acceptable principles or judgments.
