That's a fascinating comment. We've come full circle. The theory of cultural relativism was developed to prevent harm done by people who thought their morals were superior to those of others. Now we're saying that the theory of relativism itself opens the door to Hitler. What an irony.

But this raises a question. Which leads to the greater harm -- belief in moral absolutes (which may risk intolerance) or belief in ethical relativism (which may imply that "anything goes")?
