Even more important, and I want to say this if I don't say anything else about the diversity argument as it applies to education:

The whole direction of strong affirmative action based on the value of diversity is to bring in students who wouldn't be accepted using traditional standards. Why is that the case? The real problem is that the education of black children at the lower levels is much worse than white education.

Your policy simply ignores the educational problem. By treating race as a qualification you are ignoring the poor educational background of many black kids. Your solution is cosmetic. We should get back to basics so that strong affirmative action at the higher levels is unnecessary.
