You know how I feel. That's why I haven't said much.

I think the best policy is for the government to take a color-blind approach unless compensation for acts of government itself is at issue.

As far as private employers and private schools go, if they want to pursue diversity of race, sex, religion, or whatever, I don't see any moral reason why they shouldn't. I know of a private Quaker school, for example, that tries to match its student body to the city in which it is located. They think that their policy has value and there are parents who want to send their kids to just such a school. That's fine with me.
