Let's talk more about rights later. There are not only property rights to think about, but rights to compensation for harm done, rights not to be discriminated against, and maybe even rights to jobs. It's a big subject.

I've suggested a principle of compensation. It's narrow, I admit. And it can be interpreted several ways. Let's try to apply it and see if we can understand and justify some sort of affirmative action as compensation for past injustice. Again, I'm assuming that much of the segregation and discrimination that has occurred has violated the moral rights of blacks.

To be honest, I don't have a complete theory of justice that I can give you right now.
