Even if your argument works, would affirmative action be the BEST way to pay the reparations you're talking about?

Your whole argument depends on thinking of blacks as an organized group that has in some sense suffered harm as a whole. But affirmative action is a benefit given to specific individuals. It seems like some other sort of benefit would be appropriate if we are to think in terms of group harm and group reparations.
