You should also consider the problem of frivolous abortions. Some
pro-life writers have suggested that if pro-choice advocates open
the door to early abortions for any reason (or nearly any reason)
they must allow abortions for what they themselves consider frivolous.
Do you consider abortion for the sake of sex selection to be morally permissible?
What about abortion to select hair color? (Keep in mind that the fact that no one
would abort for the sake of hair color is irrelevant here. The issue is what your principles imply for such a case.)
If you say "no" to these possibilities, how do you reconcile this position with your overall view? What grounds have you left yourself for condemning such practices? Among those grounds, are there any moral considerations?
