- Our political discourse is so full of rights claims that it is no longer possible to make any sense of it. If you don't offer a theory that explains why people have certain rights but not others, your claims about specific rights are not credible.
- Traditionally in the United States rights are thought of as rights against interference by other parties. You seem to want something else. You say that people have a right to be thought of in a certain way by others. You have got to argue for this. You can't just assert it because it sounds good.
- You may be confusing moral rights and moral ideals. I would agree with you that ideally we would all value and respect others. But this is an ideal, not a basic right.
