This code may work, but not in the way you think. If half of what Malik and Vera say about the hierarchy of power on and off campus is true, the most likely outcome is that a code like this will work against black students.

There is nothing in the code to prevent it from being applied to blacks or women or gays. I'm amazed that you want to take the risk.

On the other hand, if you are pretty certain that blacks and women and gays, etc. have enough power on campus to keep the code from being used against them, shouldn't we ask whether the code is necessary at all! Your overall argument is based on the premise that blacks and women are always in a weak position.
