Character? Values? I want to remind you that this is a public institution. Its obligations to teach character are minimal. They are certainly not so stringent that they can justify the broad restrictions written into this code. I might agree with you if we were talking about a very narrowly drawn code, but not this one.

If parents want schools to teach character, they should send them to private schools that promote that sort of thing, not state universities.
