The irony is that although you sound skeptical about Mill, Vera,
it looks like this is a good example of what he talked about in
On Liberty. Remember how he tells us that when a truth
is simply repeated and does not face solid criticism, it becomes
a dead truth. Its grounds and its very meaning are forgotten!
Perhaps that has happened with regard to the standard arguments
in favor of free expression?
