I'll discuss your question, but I'm not so sure this is basically a free speech issue. We aren't concerned with what is ordinarily called speech here. We're talking about harassment pure and simple.

I'm as much in favor of free speech as anyone on this campus, but what happened Saturday was not speech, it was harassment through the use of words.

If we try to make this a simple free speech issue, we lose one of the most important aspects of what happened.
