Speaker I think that Vallentyne is a pretty interesting guy. Most libertarians that I have read are what he calls right-libertarians. I wonder how he gets a long with his brother and sister libertarians on the right?

I'm also wondering about whether he would see the regulation of property as a legitimate activity of government. If owners owe some sort of compensation to non-owners (in the form of payments, for example), might it also be true that owners must submit to certain kinds of regulation as the 'price' of ownership? I'm thinking of environmental regulations, for example.

It seems to me that he might make that sort of argument, but I don't know that he has done so.
