We
could ask a similar question about gay marriage. On the one hand,
someone might say that gays have exactly the same right to marry as
heterosexuals. Any gay man, for example, can marry a woman. And many
have done so. On the other hand, someone might say that heterosexuals
have the right to marry people to whom they are sexually attracted,
but gays do not. So are gays being 'equally treated' by the law or
not? How do we decide?
