disagree.
It's not so much that people owned everything in common at some
point in the past. The point is that at some point everyone had an equal right
to access and use natural resources. If someone comes along and claims to own some
resource, say a piece of land, then others lose their right to use
that land. That's where the problem arises.
If I take over some resource and you lose your right to use it,
what do I owe you in compensation? That's the question.
I don't think Nozick really answers that question. I think I owe
you something unless, as Locke said, there is enough left over for
you.
