Ann Speaking
Property rights are different from freedom of speech and freedom of religion. In the case of original acquisition -- the basis of all property rights -- the owner has removed something from the public domain. Previously anyone could use it, now he or she controls it and can refuse others the right to use it.

Nothing analogous to that occurs with speech and religion.
