It seems to me that one of the moral problems with libertarianism is that it implies that human labor is a commodity.
I find that very hard to accept. In fact, it seems to me that the very fact that libertarianism has this logical consequence is an argument against it.
Human labor is not like coffee or tea or loads of cement. We're talking about people's lives here. If supply and demand are allowed to determine the price of human labor it will, in many cases, fall to
appalling levels. If we are interested in a theory of justice, I don't see how we can accept a theory that allows that to happen.
