From the anthropological point of view, we have no way of saying what moral superiority is. We could say that under certain circumstances a certain moral system is more conducive to survival or to population increase or to military prowess or political stability or whatever. In that sense, we could say that one system is superior.

But we cannot go beyond these hypotheticals and say that polygamy is morally superior in a categorical sense. We simply have no method for determining whether that is true.
